How a workshop works

Two visits, one piece to treasure

Clay needs time to dry and be fired before it can be glazed, so our project workshops happen over two sessions a few weeks apart.

  1. 1

    Make it

Shape your piece with friendly guidance at every step. No experience needed.

  2. 2

    We dry and fire it

Your piece dries slowly, then goes into the kiln for its first firing.

  3. 3

    Come back and glaze

Choose your colours and glaze your piece on your second visit.

  4. 4

    Take it home

After its final firing, your finished piece is ready to collect.

About me

Hello, I'm Tracy

The Potty Hare is a small, friendly pottery studio with community at its heart. And the name? Well, with a surname like Hare, it seemed like the perfect fit!

I wanted to create a warm, welcoming space where anyone can come along, get stuck into some clay and enjoy making something of their own.

Classes are kept small, there's plenty of help along the way, and absolutely no pressure to be perfect. (In fact, we rather like a wonky pot... they usually have the most character.)
